Challenge 3 ~ Punches

Good Morning and welcome to our 3rd challenge. Because this is the 5th week of July we are having a special challenge this week that will run for 1 week instead of the usual 2 weeks.  But before I get into this week's challenge I first want to thank everyone who joined us for our Christmas in July challenge. Please be sure to come back on Monday when we announce the winner and top 3.

Now for this week's challenge.  We would like you to use

Punches.

This week we are being sponsored by the wonderful Karen's Doodles who has the most gorgeous digi's and rubber stamps and is giving the winner 3 single digi's of their choice from her store. Here's a little bit about Karen:

Hi, I am Karen Johnson.  I have been drawing all of my life. When I was 19, I started an animation studio with a friend from college.  We created scoreboard animations for all the Major League Baseball teams as well as the Super Bowl and the Olympics.  In 1989 I started my own animation studio. We created animation for the Feature Film "Fern Gully The Last Rainforest".  We also animated a Christmas Special, "The Wish That Changed Christmas" and a video featuring Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer.  For the past 20 years I have had the pleasure of creating animations for Disney, Fisher Price and Mattel and bringing their characters to life.  In 2006 I decided to bring my own characters to life with my first children's book, "Oink Finds An Egg".  This year I am celebrating 50 years as a doodler and I look forward to sharing my original drawings with crafters through "Karen's Doodles".

We are very excited to announce that we have another crafty lady joining our Design Team. Our mom, Donna of Designs By Meme, has finally agreed to join us.

Karen was so kind to give us a few images to play with this week.  Here are the cards from the DT featuring digi's from Karen's Doodles:

( Ride Em Cowgirl)

(Here Comes The Bride)

(4th Of July Herbert)

(Christmas Moose)

(Summertime Boy Soccer)

(Fairy Princess)

(Herbert Birthday Cupcake)

(Rootin Tootin Cowboy)

If you have a Karen's Doodles image we would love to see it.  However you can use any image to enter into our challenge. Please feel free to hop on over to our blogs and leave us some love.

Just a few rules to remember:
  • Feel free to combine our challenge with others, but your entry must be a new one, and not linked back to an old post on your blog.
  • Please link to your post and not to your whole blog.
  • Please add a link to 2 Sisters Challenge Blog in your blog post.
  • You can enter as many times as you want.
  • But most importantly, HAVE FUN!!

This week's challenge will close at 11:59 pm EST Friday, August 6th

Good Morning and welcome to the second challenge.  I was pleasantly surprised at the number of entries that we had for our first challenge.  I enjoyed seeing all of the wonderful creations that were submitted.  The winner of the first challenge and the top 3 will be posted on Monday.

I wanted to apologize to everyone that had trouble with the Inlinkz tool during the first challenge.  I want to assure all of you who could not enter your cards with the Inlinkz tool that I have made sure that your entries are in for the prize draw.  We will not be using the Inlinkz for this challenge so when you submit your entries please do so in the comments.  I apologize if anyone did not receive a comment on their card for this challenge.  Due to the trouble with Inlinkz we were bouncing between the comments and Inlinkz and may have missed commenting on entries.

Wishes for Bella Blog Hop--WEEK #3

If you got here from Lisa's Blog then you are on the right track.  If you are visiting the 2 Sisters Challenge blog for fun & inspiration today, We urge you to please take part in this hop
It'll open up your heart & hopefully lift the spirits of a little girl & her family who are facing very difficult times
so if you wish to start at the beginning of the hop please go back to Denise's Blog & start there!
We will be hopping for ONE WEEK (whenever you can make it out)
************************
There are a couple of reasons for this blog hop:
1. To share the story of strength & courage of an 8 yr old girl &
2.To ask you to help her & her family in any way you can.
Meet Bella.........

You can read Bella's story here,
This vibrant-little-8 yr old-third grade-gymnast was struck with a near fatal illness on Easter Sunday 2010. She fought hard for 5 days in a comatose state & survived, but along with her survival came significant loss. As the near fatal infection caused extensive tissue damage, she had to undergo quadruple amputation surgery changing Bella forever.
As stated above, feel free to visit Bella's site to see how you can help. Send some love her way or even send her a card.  A nice homemade card along the lines of 'thinking of you'.  Your card does not have to be a new one, but you should be able to send it!

Should you decide to send her a card, here is the address:
The Bella Tucker Fund
P.O. Box 199
Londonderry, NH
03053 USA
Here is the card that I will be sending to Bella.  For this card I used a free image from Digital Delights called Teapot Pippin.
The 2 Sisters Challenge Blog is offering a blog candy package for this hop so make sure that you link your card to this site with this Inlinkz tool at the bottom of this post for a chance to win.
Please continue to hop along to the rest of the participants blogs.
Your next stop will be Lois' Blog

 To make matters more interesting
Erin is offering up weekly prizes to whoever participates in the hop. This week prizes include goodies from Chrissy Armstrong, Whiff of Joy, Edith's Digis, and Whimsey Stamps.

AND AS IF THAT WASN'T ENOUGH... THERE IS A GRAND PRIZE CANDY PACK TOO!!
(to be drawn July 20 after the 4th & final hop)
including various goodies from:
Whimsy Stamps
Simon Says
Lindsay's Stamp stuff
Paper Jewels
Soft Pencil
Quixotic Paperie
Firecracker Designs by Pamela
Digital Delights
Sunshine & Giggles
La La Land
Chrissy Armstrong
The Stamping Boutique
and
Digital images by Edith

To be entered into the grand prize candy, you will have to link up your cards for Bella here.

This allows Erin to keep track of how many cards Bella should be receiving...from all over the world!!

The more cards you make for Bella, the more chances you have to win the GRAND PRIZE (to be drawn July 20). Make 4 cards link them all (4 separate links).  This gives you 4 chances to win the grand prize!!!

Post Issue

As with all new things the post for the first challenge was a trial and error for me.  When you scroll down to enter your card in the first challenge you will notice that there are three inlinkz tools at the bottom.  This is the first time that I have ever used inlinkz and I accidentally placed it three time.  When you post please post to the first inlinkz tool.  Sorry for the confusion.

Stacy

First Challenge Begins

Good morning and welcome to the 2 Sisters Challenge Blog and our very first challenge.  For our first time out we are keeping things fairly simple.  More on the challenge in a bit.  First, we are very excited to announce that our sponsor for this challenge is Sew Many Cards.  Sew Many Cards will be offering the winner of this challenge 5 digital images of their choice.

My name is Angela and I own Sew Many Cards.  I have a husband, an almost 10 year old daughter, a two year old son, and a dog/puppy: Hershey.  The images of Sew Many Cards came from a dream that my husband had of a group of animals that were "SEWN Together" with patches and stitching, hence the name, which he also came up with.  You will find that every image in the Sew Many Cards collection has patches and stitching, even the ones that are not animals.  I love to draw and almost every image is either an inspiration from my family or a request from my great customers and design team, so please ask if you need something specific or would like to request something be made.  You can contact me at angela@sewmanycard.com angela@sewmanycards.com

For our first challenge we have chosen...

~ ANYTHING GOES ~

You have from 9:00am today Saturday July 3rd until 11:59pm Friday July 16th to enter the challenge.  We look forward to seeing all of the great entries.

Here are some offerings of inspiration by our design team.  You should take a moment to check out their wonderful blogs.

We hope that you join us often for the challenges and have loads of fun!!!
